En el mundo entero se conoce como Ed Sheeran, pero en verdad fue inscrito como Edward Christopher Sheeran cuando nació en Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire del Oeste, el 17 de febrero de 1991. Este afamado cantante y compositor británico abandonó la escuela secundaria para trasladarse a Londres con el sueño de hacer carrera artística. Al publicar en 2011 un EP de forma independiente captó la atención de Elton John, quien lo puso en contacto con el sello Asylum Records, con el cual firmó un acuerdo de grabación. En septiembre de ese año dio a conocer su álbum debut, +, que logró ubicarse en la lista de éxitos de discos de Reino Unido. De hecho, su sencillo The A Team fue nominado a un Grammy por Canción del año. Al año siguiente, ganó en los Brit Awards los galardones a Artista revelación y Solista masculino.
Tras + llegó el fonograma × (2014), que lo superó en ventas y se situó en la posición 1 del Billboard 200 de Estados Unidos. Con el tema Thinking Out Loud se hizo de los premios Canción del año y Mejor interpretación vocal pop solista, en la edición 58 de los Grammy. Sin dudas, fue notoria la acogida que consiguió × que culminó el 2015 como el segundo álbum más vendido en su país, solo superado por 25, de Adele. Contiene otros hits como Sing y Don’t.
En este 2017 Ed Sheeran ha empezado a escucharse por doquier gracias a canciones como Castle on the Hill y Shape of You, pertenecientes a su tercer álbum de estudio titulado ÷. Justo esta última es la propuesta de esta edición de ¡De Impacto!
