HOLGUIN, Cuba, Feb 26 (ACN) The San Rafael People's Council, on the outskirts of the city of Holguin had a different day on Monday as its neighbors exchanged with the candidates to deputies to the Cuban Parliament and delegates to the Provincial Assembly of the People's Power.
It was a day of exchanges and assessment on the preparations underway in the community for the general elections scheduled for March 11th, where Unity was the key expression in the dialog held at the vegetable company based in the zone and voters of the region.
One of the candidates to deputy and delegate in district three of the municipality of Holguin, Pavel Rodriguez talked about the patriotic values that distinguishes the electoral process in the country, where democracy is a loyal reflection of the right of the nation's citizens to vote for their representative to government.
The exchanges with the candidates is an example of the country's democracy without political campaigns, but exchanges on the social projects and ways to contribute in solving the problems facing society in different sectors.
Another neighbor in San Rafael, Reynaldo Ricardo said that no one can deny that we are witnessing a transparent process. He stressed that only a country like Cuba can candidates exchange with the voters prior to the elections.
I feel confident and trust each one of our candidates to deputies and delegates because they represent the people, our neighborhood and share with us the tasks and obligations, said Laureano Fuentes, voter of the district.
Exchanges with candidates to the upcoming elections are taking place in work places and among neighbors in Holguin, where the population can learn about the 103 candidates as delegates to the Provincial Assembly and 55 deputies to the Cuban National Assembly.
