Several students from higher and mid-higher education, including students from the Angolan Republic, graduated last Thursday on Command, Technical and Engineering profiles fromTechnical Military Institute José Martí.
They are part of the Assaults to the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks´ 65th Anniversary promotion and received their diplomas in a military ceremony in which were present several chiefs from Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces.
Lieutenant Colonel Ernesto Concepción Puentes read a synthesis from The Graduation Order. The Graduated Vow was read by Lieutenant Dayán Palmero Rodríguez who was the best graduated student from aviation profile. Also the main ceremony speech was given by Colonel Ninoska Albear González.
The best graduates obtained the Golden Diploma and others outstanding students received the Third RankIgnacio Agramonte Medal and the Combatantof Production and Defense.
As highlight, theGolden Diploma was received mostly by Angolan students that graduated in engineering. However, 23 years-old graduated Yainoris Miranda Cardona, who graduated in Radio- Electronicaengineering, was the only Cuban student that received this honor.
Also, member of the Direction Group of the Exams Commission, formers Head Principals of the institution, a militarycommission from Angola, and graduates ‘familymembers attended to the ceremony.
The Technical Military Institutewas the first Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces´ Universityfounded byFidel Castro on February 1st 1969 and the fourth university in Cuban history. The Leader of the Cuban Revolution and Army Chief Raúl Castro Ruzhad their pre-university educationthere when it used to be the Belén College.Later, the current Cuban President Miguel Díaz- Canel Bermúdez studied there as well.
