Cuban and Dutch scientists debate on the environment

The deliberations on the subject will be at the Palacio del Segundo Cabo, located in the Historic Center of Old Havana, which, together with its System of Colonial Fortifications, has been World Heritage since 1982.

HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 1 (ACN) Scientists from Cuba and the Kingdom of the Netherlands will open this Wednesday a special conference on cooperation for the reduction of coastal vulnerability to climate change and associated technologies.
 
The deliberations on the subject will be at the Palacio del Segundo Cabo, located in the Historic Center of Old Havana, which, together with its System of Colonial Fortifications, has been World Heritage since 1982.
 
Specialists of the Ministry of Science also informed the ACN that the meeting is organized by its organism, the Office of the Historian of Havana and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
 
They indicated that they will have the presence of the Cuban authorities and institutions involved in the protection of the northern coast of Havana.
 
In addition, the Vice Minister of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Guido Landheer, will participate together with experts from the Dutch Water Administration and the Deltares Research Center.
