HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 6 (acn) Surgical treatment of congenital malformations, lithiasis by minimally invasive methods and pediatric and adolescent urology are topics of the 21st Cuban Congress of that branch, which begins today in this city.
PhD. Emilio Cordies Jackson, president of the organizing committee of the event based in the Havana Convention Center, told ACN that it will be an appropriate occasion to exchange criteria about the most updated procedures in the world.
He specified that the Cuban and foreign specialists will make an update on Oncological Surgery; Imaginology and uses of Nuclear Medicine; Urological Nursing; Andrology; and Vesicourethral Dysfunction, among other topics.
Renowned experts of the world in this field will participate in the forum, which will run until November 9 and includes six pre-congress courses.
According to the organizing committee, the list of invited professors includes Drs. Gaetano Ciancio, Gopal Badlani, Manoj Monga, Edmund Sabanegh, Wayne Hellstrom and Rafael Gosalbez, all from United States, as well as Simon Tanguay, from Canada; Mexican Jorge Gutierrez; Spaniards José Manuel Cozar, Manuel Esteban Fuertes and José Uroz, and Chileans Reynaldo Gomez and Ricardo Zubieta.
This event will be attended by the International Society of Urology and the American Confederation and the European Association of that branch.
