HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 21 (acn) The match between Granma, defending champion, and Pinar del Rio, will be in the spotlight today, in the continuation of the second stage of the 57th Cuban National Baseball Series.
Granma only need a win over Pinar del Rio in this subseries, three games, to become the fourth team qualified to the playoffs, stage already reached by the leader Las Tunas, with balance of 58 wins and 28 losses, Matanzas (57-28) and Industriales (50-36).
If not achieving that victory, they are forced to win at least twice in the four remaining games against Artemisa.
Granma (44-38) appears fourth in the standings followed by Pinar del Rio (41-45) and Artemisa (39-44).
Today´s other matches are Artemisa vs. Industriales, and Matanzas - Las Tunas, with the firsts as locals.
