Cuban Sports Medicine official Victor Cabrera told PL news agency that Cuba, Morocco and another three countries make up the specialized team in charge of this important issue for the practice of sports around the world.

Cabrera took part at a meeting this week at the Paris-based UNESCO office on the issue, which was also attended by the International Olympic Committee and the World Anti-doping Agency.

The expert stressed Cuba's outstanding work in meeting the International Anti-doping Convention, since "for us this does not only concern a single sports federation or association, because it is a state issue," he noted.

Cuba implements a preventive and educative approach to the issue, based on educating athletes and the people so that they do not fall in such trap, the expert explained and went on to say that the fight against doping goes beyond sports, it also concerns all the people.
