While the municipal assemblies of the Intermediate-Level student Federation (FEEM) are coming to an end in some provinces of Cuba, the youth does not forget Commander Fidel’s legacy, and retake his dreams to undertake their own, since the provincial assemblies of that organization will begin tomorrow November 4th .
This was stated to JR by chairwoman of the organizing committee of the FEEM National Assembly Niubys García Otaño, when the federation will turn 47 years since its foundation.
From May, when the assemblies were officially announced during the National Council of the organization, to this date, “a group of activities has been carried out keeping FEEM on the move, by interacting and debating over the students’ concerns and way of thinking”, the chairwoman stressed.
Among them, she referred to workshops focusing on the local history and others related to the figures who dignify the organization, acts of entry into the federation in all municipalities and provinces of the country, A mi Comandante arts festivals, as well as antimperialist acts to denounce the unjustice of the empire in the region and in the world.
In addition, there will be sport tournaments and recreational activities, comunitary interventions, debates and lectures for the prevention of drug consumption, among other topics; open doors in universities with the aim of promoting vocational guidance; interviews to personalities, and visits to army units by girls who aim at the Female’s Voluntary Military Service.
Likewise, Niubis García said that assemblies were held in more than 10,000 groups of the organization and in more than 900 centers, whose main topics were the conscious study, the successful execution of FEEM’s main processes in order to achieve a good work and the homeland defense – related task.
She stressed that all the process has been dedicated to Commander-in-Chief and to Ernesto Guevara especially to the legacy for today’s youth, since their examples continue to be a compass for the path to follow by the Cuban students.
