Donald Trump’s governmentattemptsto ban Cuba-US exchange. The dispositions and regulations taking effect this Thursday aim to further limit the trips of its citizens to Cuba violating a constitutional right of the Americans- and charges at 179 entities of the Island, with which they hinder trade, business and the possible investments. In short, they harm the Cuban economy and affect their own businesses.

This packet of sanctions- one of Trump’s  favorite weapons along with his tweets and the use of military force in some regions- turn out to be the implementation of the changes announced last June 16 in Miami under the titleNational Security Presidential Memorandum on Strengthening the Policy of the United States Toward Cuba.

In addition to its counterproductive character, it hampers those who want to “help” and , as the US organization Engage Cuba expressed in a statement rejecting it, “the Trump administration has shown yet again their hypocritical approach to human rights.”

The ban includes the Old Havana and the most beautiful beaches and landscapes, about 80 hotels across the island, stores, photo services, just to mention some from the list, which as they warn, might increase. What’s more Trump and a couple of anti-Cuban politicians do not want their people to enjoy a Cuba Libre drink prepared with Rum Varadero and Tropicola. They miss it. We are here.
