Latin American journalists recognize resistance of the Cuban revolution



HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 3 (ACN) - Nelson Del Castillo, secretary general of the Latin American Federation of Journalists (FELAP by its Spanish acronym), recognized today the Cuban exemplary capacity of resistance as a leader for the people, 61 years after the triumph of the Revolution.

Del Castillo said that in midst of the imperialist and allied attack, the Cuban Revolution remains an example for the people who struggle and resist hopefully in building a dignified future for humanity, Prensa Latina reported.
He added that the FELAP leadership, headed by its president, Juan Carlos Camaño, congratulates the Cuban people and, in particular, its journalists on this anniversary of the Revolution led by Fidel Castro, an honorary member by right of that organization.
The leader stressed the unbreakable bond between FELAP, since its foundation in June 1976, and Cuban journalists, who, he stated, have contributed to the strengthening of the organization.
Del Castillo affirmed that the Cuban people and journalists have and will always have in the FELAP an organization in full solidarity with their struggle against imperialist aggression, aimed at choking with the illegal blockade forced by the US almost six decades ago, the aspirations not only of Cubans, but of mankind.
Journalists, regardless of the geographical region, have the responsibility to spread the truth in order to dismantle the lies used to suppress the people's desire for freedom and justice, he concluded.
