James Blunt fue el nombre artístico que tomó James Hillier Blount,  el cantautor británico nacido el 21 de febrero de 1974, radicado oficialmente desde 2006 en la isla española de Ibiza, y que alcanzara la fama en 2005 con su primer álbum, Back to Bedlam, que contenía el sonado sencillo You’re Beautiful. Su estilo es una mezcla de géneros musicales que incluyen: pop, rock y folk con un matiz acústico. Durante su niñez recibió lecciones de violín y piano. A los 14 aprendió a tocar guitarra y comenzó a componer canciones.

A lo largo de su carrera ha sido acreedor de dos Premios Brit y obtuvo cinco nominaciones a los Grammy en 2006. Seguidamente presentó al mercado su segundo álbum, All the Lost Souls (2007), por el cual obtuvo un Disco de oro en la primera semana en que se dio a conocer.

En septiembre de 2010 presentó su tercer álbum, Some Kind of Trouble, para el cual, aseguró, escribió canciones que dejan a un lado la melancolía para tomar un carácter más optimista. Le siguieron el fonograma Moon Landing (2013) y The Afterlove (2017), que contiene el tema que les proponemos en esta edición de ¡De Impacto!, Bartender.
