La afamada cantante, actriz (debutó en el 2012 en el filme Battleship) y modelo Rihanna (Barbados, 1988) se nombra en verdad Robyn Rihanna Fenty. Se trasladó a Estados Unidos a los 16 años para perseguir una carrera musical bajo la dirección del productor musical Evan Rogers. Posteriormente firmó un contrato con Def Jam Recordings. En 2005, lanzó su álbum debut, Music of the Sun, y en menos de un año presentó A Girl Like Me. Después vendrían otros al estilo de Good Girl Gone Bad, que incluye éxitos como Umbrella y Don´t Stop the Music; Rated R, Loud —obtuvo cuatro nominaciones al Grammy Awards y el premio a la Mejor grabación dance por Only Girl (In the World)—; y Talk That Talk, donde aparece el exitoso We Found Love. Ha ganado numerosos premios y galardones, entre ellos cinco American Music Awards, 19 Billboard Music Awards, dos BRIT Awards y siete Grammy Awards. Ha logrado posicionar en el número uno un total de 12 sencillos en el Billboard Hot 100, convirtiéndose en la artista más joven en lograr tal hazaña en Estados Unidos.
