Entre géneros como R&B, hip hop y pop se mueve Christopher Maurice Brown (Chris Brown), nacido el 5 de mayo de 1989. A finales de 2005 este popular cantante hizo su debut discográfico con el álbum homónimo Chris Brown, y que incluía el sencillo Run It!, que encabezó el Billboard Hot 100. A este disco, certificado doble platino por la Asociación de la Industria Discográfica de Estados Unidos, le siguieron Exclusive, que se dio a conocer mundialmente en noviembre de 2007, y Graffiti, salido al mercado en diciembre de 2009.
Después de una accidentada vida personal, Brown logró ubicarse nuevamente en la cima de los rankings, por medio de fonogramas al estilo de F.A.M.E., Fortune y X, publicados en 2011, 2012 y 2014, respectivamente. Con el primero consiguió un Grammy al mejor álbum de R&B.
Además de su éxito comercial en solitario, Brown ha conseguido la popularidad gracias a colaboraciones con cantantes como Jordin Sparks (No Air), Bow Wow (Shortie Like Mine), Lil Mama y T -Pain (Shawty Get Loose), Aaliyah (Don`t Think They Know), Nicki Minaj (Love More), Ariana Grande (Don`t Be Gone Too Long), y Usher y Rick Ross (New Flame). Debido a sus rutinas de baile se ha comparado con renombrados artistas de R&B, como Usher y Michael Jackson.
